Kewala Pipe Dive

KewalaPipe Dive

Beginner – Advanced

Kewala Pipe use to be a pipe that pumped water from a power plant out into the ocean, like the one at Electric Beach.  This pipe is about three and a half feet in diameter, but the coral growth on it makes it appear much larger.  This is a very relaxing dive. It is about 60’ deep at the very end but you don’t have to go that far out to see large schools of yellowfin goatfish and bluestripe snapper.  You are also likely to see varieties of Eels, Angelfish, Blennies, Boxfish, Butterflyfish, Damselfish, Peacock Groupers, Hawkfish, Lizardfish, Parrotfish, Pufferfish, Squirrelfish, Surgeonfish, Tangs, Triggerfish, Trumpetfish, Unicornfish, and Wrasse.  If you do make it out to the end there is a large coral garden on both sides of the pipe that extend about 30 yards in both directions.
