Makaha Caverns is the Sharks Cove of the west side. As hot lava flowed into the ocean, trapped air formed bubbles that worked their way to the sides and top. When these bubbles popped the ocean water ran in and cooled off the surrounding lava forming caverns and caves. It would be great diving Makaha Caverns even if you didn’t see tons of marine life, but you will. This is one of the best dives on the island of Oahu.
