Beginner – Advanced
This area has 2 different dives. One is a wall. We generally surface swim out about 75 yards to where the water gradually tapers to about 25 feet. At the 25 foot depth there is a vertical wall that drops to 45 feet. Not many divers know about this area so it holds a wide variety of marine life. Following the wall there are plenty of holes and overhangs to check out. Near the end of this spot there is a huge rock sitting next to the wall that creates a narrow crevasse.
If you go the other way, you go to the cave. It is actually a cavern because you can see all the way through it. It’s about 35 yards from end to end with a bunch of lava holes shooting out in all directions that you can look into as you go. The critters you are likely to see at this site include: Angelfish, Blennies, Boxfish, Butterflyfish, Eels, Peacock Groupers, Hawkfish, Lizardfish, Parrotfish, Pufferfish, Snappers, Squirrelfish, Surgeonfish, Tangs, Triggerfish, Trumpetfish, Unicornfish and Wrasse. I have also documented seeing white tip reef sharks, manta and spotted eagle rays, turtles, and Triton’s Trumpet.
