The San Pedro Dive

The San Pedro Dive

Intermediate– Advanced

The San Pedro rests beside the YO-257.  She was sunk by Atlantis Submarines Hawaii in 1996. The San Pedro is the second leg of what I call the Oahu Triple Crown of Diving.  The YO is a great first deep dive,   following that by the San Pedro will prepare you for The Sea Tiger, the deepest of the south shore wrecks.  Because The San Pedro in not as big as The YO, the main deck is slightly deeper.  It also gets less traffic which usually translates into seeing cool critters.  I have seen: Turtles, eagle rays, white tip reef sharks, eels, Angelfish, Snappers, Trumpetfish, and it was on a day diving the San Pedro that I captured the only image I have of dolphins under water.
